Ideally positioned in the south-facing Station Hotel courtyard, the Glen Spey suite offers hand-picked luxury, making your stay extra-special.
It’s named after the Glen Spey distillery, which was founded in 1878 by James Stuart & Co, the buildings having started out life as an oatmeal mill. Six years later, James Stuart purchased the Macallan distillery, and in 1887 the English company W & A Gilbey acquired the Glen Spey Distillery for £11,000. Today Glen Spey is part of the Diageo group and is a key element of famous blended Scotch whiskies as well as a being a Single Malt in its own right.

“Been for a lot of meals over the years but today we went to The Station Hotel in Rothes and we found the food excellent. Not excessively expensive and great value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more from a local establishment.”

“We booked the sumptuous 'Caperdonich' suite for a very special anniversary and we certainly weren't disappointed. Our evening meal with dear friends in 'Pagoda's' restaurant was delightful and the service throughout first-class, I can't recommend the Station hotel in my home town of Rothes enough! Great credit to owners, Richard and Heather Forsyth”
“Took friends for dinner and an overnight stay to celebrate a birthday. I had previously stopped for lunch in Toots last year and was impressed so thought we would treat our friends here. Perfect from start to finish. The rooms were amazing. Dinner and breakfast was faultless and the whisky/gin bar at the back is so impressive as was the service by all the staff we encountered. We will be back again.”
